Another South African neighbour gets Starlink

Lesotho granted Elon Musk’s Starlink a 10-year license to operate its satellite network in the tiny southern African mountain kingdom as it seeks to improve ties with the US.

The decision marks a significant step forward in the country’s digital transformation and seeks to create a competitive, transparent and forward-looking communication sector that fuels economic growth and fosters innovation, the Lesotho Communications Authority said in a statement Monday.

Did they allow without insisting on owning the business.........................😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

And then the country with the highest US tariffs said “it seeks to improve ties with the US”

Still not showing up on Starlink availability map

No loopholes?
Sadly not that I'm aware of. Anyone who knows otherwise can PM me. If you didn't cancel your account but paused it previously you likely still have it, but if you cancelled, that's it. No more regional roaming.

Obviously! Sadly, SA is still contemplating beee and what to do and fighting with each other and playing the blame game instead taking the country forward....

...and this is why they were 50% tariiffed. To shake 'em down for Starlink.

Question is...why is Musk so hellbent to get into every tiny countries. Certainly not for profits.

Useless government Bunts. Do something instead of stealing.
