Agree, but, information like this will never be available as stats, although it's common knowledge.
It was common knowledge that whites are not promoted at SAPS until I proved the opposite. Shows you the veracity of common knowledge. :sneaky:

A common assumption would be that local government works the same way than SAPS, both being government entities. But I don't do assumptions like others here and will let the doubt float.

Let’s now check at the recruitment and promotions:

HIRED:
2 top management hired, 0 white.
4 senior management hired, 0 white.
That would make sense since 30% are already white.

7 whites over 29 professionals hired.
139 whites over 488 academically qualified.
43 whites over 1545 semi skilled.
42 whites over 5309 unskilled.

PROMOTIONS:
0 over 14 to top management.
128 over 607 to senior management.
794 over 3016 to professionals.
Around 11000 over 43000 skilled.
Around 1900 over 46000 semi skilled.
25 of 1462 unskilled.

Conclusion: whites get MORE promoted and they are overrepresented in the management and professionals of SAPS.

They are underrepresented at unskilled levels.

SAPS was taken to court for their hiring practices before. So using them as the de facto example is not a fair representation, specifically when comparing to any form of government - which will always be the prime candidate for any political agenda. In this case, BEE.

but its true, look at the (former) president, can barely count to 10.

and thinks that AIDS can be cured with a shower.

so are we really so surprised most municipalities, waste money on "consultants" who charge extreme fees to do the job?
or that some politically connected cadre is working as a CFO becuse his uncle is in the ANC?

why is anything surprising anymore?
