Hi all

I would like to ask for some opinions/ thought regarding the following phones.

LG G5 vs Samsung S7 Edge vs Sony Xperia Z5 Premium

I can upgrade in a few weeks, and would like to get some advice from people in the know, or who perhaps have had experience with one or more of them.

Which would you suggest, and why?

I appreciate any and all feedback.

Thank you

S7 edge and Z5 premium are definitely better by a mile....specifically because they have much better quality builds and are water resistant.

Sure there are other smaller things they have going for them also but those two big points make it a no brainer for me,just go see the s7 and z5 premium in the flesh and decide which ones looks you prefer but features wise also there shouldn't be any major differences.

What would be the main reason for choosing the S7 edge over the plain S7 (which is a bit cheaper, I think)?

I used the G5 a few days back. That button on the back felt very cheap for a flagship

all three is not the correct choice.

for once the HTC 10 is the best of the flagships, but they have no marketing budget so they just get ignored.

I have watched many videos comparing flagships because I honestly do enjoy watching those kinds of vids.

funny how the G5 feels less premium, the button annoys people but out performs everything else. and its camera can be argued is the better one.

I honestly think the HTC is the flagship of the year with the S7 in second and the G5 in third purely for build quality.

My sister is a sony fanatic as is her husband. All their phones back or front cracked by end of contract.

The camera appears to take better photos on the S7, even though the specs are the same

Lighting on the g5 looks more natural imho. And at night or in low light the g5 wins hands down. I'll find the video comparison at home and share it here

What lighting?Screen tone can be adjusted easily to suit your needs on the s7 edge.AMOLED is quite flexible.

Thanks guys.

My first instinct was the Z5, as I currently have a Z2 and love the phone. Everything except the back cover. I am currently on my third one, they break for nothing.......

I have honestly not really looked at the HTC, I have never been a big fan of them.

The only reason I am currently leaning more towards the S7 over the G5, is the IP68 rating.

Another nice comparison I came across

If you're a Sony fan get the Z5 premium a friend of mine did the upgrade from Z2 to Z5 premium and he loves the Z5 premium, says its a worthy upgrade plus it doesn't have a glass back.

Thanks !
I must admit, this Z2 has definitely turned me into a fan.
It is the first time since I have had cell phone that a phone has lasted me the full two year cycle with literally no hiccups. Not one single issue. Apart from the glass back.

This guys opinion is mine. Wouldn't consider the LG either, even though I like my G4.

The plain S7 has a small screen.
