Hi,
I can get the Daikin or LG 12000btu inverter aircon for around the same price.
However, Daikin is only available next year (Out of stock at the moment).

My biggest question in comparing the 2 units is noise levels (as it will be used at night in a bedroom).
Daikin claims their units go down to 21db and LG claims 19db. Are these claims accurate? Has anyone had experience with the 2 units that can comment?

Lastly - reliability - has LG caught up to Daikin quality levels?

Thanks

My two LG inverters are about 8 years old now. Have had one service each. One failure so far, a thermistor packed up, cost me R25 to replace.

I'm surprised that you can get them at the same price.
But I'll take the Daikin 10/10 times.
I have LG in the living room and Daikin in the bedroom and the higher end, higher specced LG isn't nearly as good as the Daikin.

You cannot compare Japanese aircons to Korean. Quite surprised that the LG is quieter, normally Daikin's forte. But the top brands are all Japanese. Mitsubishi, Daikin and then Panasonic. If I may ask, you getting these installed in CT? I have had no luck with agents here.

Its a no brainer really, Daikin is the best.
If you can get them at the same price then its an easy choice.
