Afraid you'll have to be the guinea pig on that one, let us know how they work out though :)

I've personally used them in December 2008, what a pleasure to deal with. They normally renew licences for freight / logistics companies but also assist individuals. I communicated with them via email and scanned and mailed relevant docs to them. License got delivered via courier.

I have no problem as I just walk into my local Municipality, walk up to any of the 3 counters that are open, pay, and walk-out. In the last 3 years it has taken me no more than 5 minutes to this. Oh wait, might be because we have the oppressive DA running our local municipality.

We're lucky here - we can just go to almost any post office. :)

How often is one supposed to get their license renewed?
I guess this thread is about car license and not drivers license for which you have to be present for eye tests etc.

Car license renewal is annual of course.

To renew your car registration? I thought that was only for fines.

Lucky you
That's right, I've been renewing my car registration at the post office in PE for a number of years, but I must say that the last time I did this (Dec 08), I waited in the queue for just over one hour and the only lady doing the renewals went for lunch with a fairly lengthy queue. Not here fault, but the manager's who should have had at least two more doing the job and they could have staggered their lunch breaks.
This was the small post office in Cape Road - I think it's Newton Park.

When I was in car sales ALL of our licencing and registration was done by those guys, as long as they have a certified copy of your ID it's quite kosher...it does cost a bit extra, but if you can afford it, it's brilliant.
