I did mine at the licensing center in Edwin Swales.

Tip, just go there about 40 minutes before they close for the day, you will be done and out in 20.

I went to Pinetown twice and left quickly, the place just stank.

Go to Bedfordview. Sure it's a schlep if you use Midrand or Randburg as your main centres, but trust me - 15 minutes in and out.

I wonder why they bother with finger prints? That wastes a lot of time. Presumably they just throw them away straight afterwards...

They do them on an electronic bio reader and it goes straight into the system

Oh, that's new then. Last time was ink and paper, as was the time before and the time before. I explained to the lady that your finger prints stay the same...you know, from year to year. She thought hard and then said they had to do them again in case you had lost a finger. At that point I just gave up.
