So now that units are going out please post your comments, reviews, questions and even complaints here! This thread will be monitored, but for support email will be the most reliable form of comms.

Model: G48-200W
Rated Voltage 48V
Nominal Voltage 51.2V
Nominal Capacity 100Ah
Rated Energy 9600Wh
Total Energy 10240Wh

Pulled above from the LiFePOWER-G48-200W-Specification-Sheet.pdf.

Perhaps a typo in the rated energy? 48 to 51.2V at 100Ah is closer to half the rated energy spec?

(Don't mean to come across as negative, just something I wondered about).

Correct, typo. It's 200Ah, thanks will get it fixed!

Just received mine.:) Looking good

Are you by any chance going to link resellers from your main page?

Has anyone managed to get RS485 comms working to their inverter? Received my two 48V100AH units and they look great except that I can't get comms working to my Kodak VMiii. It gives me some battery options but I've run through them all with no luck.
@ScottulusMaximus have you got any more detail on the type of communication messages etc or protocol that's being used here? My ultimate plan is to connect the battery to my RaspberryPi via RS485 to USB and integrate with Home Assistant, but for now was hoping to have the inverter do the talking.

Did you make up the BMS cable correctly and set the dip switches? Make up a cable as below, leave everything else disconnected:

Inverter <--> LiFePO₄WER
Pin 3 <--> Pin 8
Pin 5 <--> Pin 7

Set Program 05 to USE and programs 26, 27 and 29 to the required voltages.

THE ABOVE ONLY APPLIES TO THIS SPECIFIC INVERTER, everyone else please refer to your inverter manual for the pin outs of your particular model.

Dip switches:

Battery 1: OFF OFF OFF OFF
Battery 2: OFF OFF OFF ON

Use a STANDARD ethernet cable to connect the OUT port from Battery 1 to the IN port on Battery 2.

Installation instructions with this info attached.

For RS485 to USB you'll have to match those pins as well to whatever card you buy. RS-485 is the communication protocol, it's standard.

So this is what confuses me - my understanding is that this setting here makes the inverter treat the battery as completely manual and ignores communication with the battery. Surely we have to tell the inverter it is connected to an intelligent battery where it can get battery parameters from? I have got the correct cable as you described (I'll double check again when I'm home this afternoon - it came with the inverter for use with Pylontech batteries) and it is currently set to USE but I'm not getting the correct battery SOC displaying on the inverter - it is still using just the voltage and as a result the SOC swings wildly based on load/charging.

This is from my inverter manual:

Mine doesn't appear to have moved since early yesterday morning.

Same here, I've got 1 order coming to Jhb, no movement since like 5am yesterday.

I've got another going to Dbn, but that's gone from Pta to Cpt for some reason (still in transit though).

Don't have the inverter yet, so not really stressing about delivery of the batteries.

Did you use that exact cable when testing?
Was it the right way around, it's directional?
Are you using a standard ethernet cable between the batteries?
Are the addresses set?

If that's all correct set to PYL and it should work, we use the exact same communication protocol and pin outs as pylontech. You'll also have to check what connecting comms to the inverter allows it to do, some inverters are more capable than others.

Okay thanks - will double check everything again this evening and set to PYL. It was around midnight last night when I was doing this so I might have been doing something stupid... Also, moving these batteries around on your own is no joke!!

Also check that your cable is not faulty - even if it is new.
