Not sure where to post this, but just wanted to find out if anyone has experienced this before.
I linked my phone to WhatsApp Web as I always do. The following day I logged into the Web app and noticed one of my chat histories only had the previous day's messages. This particular chat went all the way back to January. The Web app gave me the option to ''Click here and get older messages from your phone'' which I done, but it gave an error message that told me to open WhatsApp on my phone to sync. I tried this only to discover that the entire chat history had been erased on the phone as well.
This only happened with the one conversation, everything else is still there. Now I know there is an option to clear/erase chat history, but I know I never done this.
Has anybody else experienced something similar? Is it possible that linking to WhatsApp Web could have corrupted something? Never had this happen before.
