Linux Arcade pc

Hi All,

I have an old pc at home, and want to make it into a Linux Arcade pc.
So the pc boots up the linux mame OS, and I can play mame roms from there.
I've got knoppixmame but that requires a mouse and keyboard. I want to be able to just use my gamepads, nothing else.
Also, I want the OS to run from the harddrive not CD, and be able to use usb drives.

Whats the best Mame OS to get?
