The Lions have beaten the Bulls in a thrilling Vodacom Super Rugby clash at a wet Emirates Airlines Park on Saturday.
The Lions won 22-18 after trailing 9-6 at half-time.
The Lions scored the only try of the match through Armand van der Merwe, while flyhalf Elton Jantjies added five penalties and the conversion.
The Bulls replied with six penalties by No 10 Jacques-Louis Potgieter.
The Lions picked up four points for their victory, but stayed fourth in the South African Conference. They did however move up to 10th spot in the Overall standings.
The Bulls picked up a single point for losing by seven or fewer points, and took over at the summit of the South African Conference. they also moved into third spot in the Overall log.
In next weekend's Round 9 action, the Lions welcome the Sharks to Johannesburg (Saturday, April 11 at 17:05), while the Bulls host the Reds at Loftus Versfeld (Saturday, April 11 at 19:10).
