No improvements, if anything problem getting worse, zero throughput.

Needs to be there 1000 times, IMHO it is the worst of all the areas.

Problems also started earlier, throughput started getting bad in Oct/Nov 2011. Now just nothing.

Absolutely zero throughput during the business day.

Had to buy Vodacom data while I have Cell C data coming out of my ears.

The problem you are describing sounds like congestion, not the "full signal but no connection" problem that others are describing that seems to be temporarily solved by switching one's phone to airplane mode and off again.

I'm still not entirely clear of the purpose of this thread. Is it for a specific problem or is it just a list of areas where anyone has experienced any sort of problem; congestion, poor signal, out of airtime, flat battery, etc. ?

Possibly, but I do have full signal with no data throughput.

Nothing that you can do solves it, however. Except switching to Vodacom.

I have asked Cell C to add LTE to this tower, that should help. But no response to that as yet.

cellc came to put up an antenna , with a repeater thinngy, honestly , its made the signal worse, :( the signal is better / data works better when the repeater is switched off :(

Poor installation or... Did you try to re-orient antennas? :) You must never do it, it can oscilate and radiate your entire family! PM Cell_C, they have to fix it.

Download Speed: 4535 kbps (566.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1715 kbps (214.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 108 ms

gee; don't I feel like an idiot now! spending the money first to get cell data (prepaid for the next 12M) and then finding all these problems.
for what it is worth; full signal and zero data. area = Kensington; Western Cape.
