Reason I started this tread is that even after numeruous posts, PM's and emails to CellC, my issue has not been resolved or even decent feedback given.

For those looking for some info about towers and have an iphone they can call *3001#12345#* to receive stats on the cell tower via the umts menu.

Excuse my bluntness, but are an idiot? Your network team should be well aware of this issue as should you. I notified your call center ages ago and technical support ages ago.

Your systems have consistently failed to diagnose and remedy a widely-reported and non-endemic fault whereby clients are receiving no data access on 3G, at all, country wide.

Stop this bureaucratic bullshi*t, and start fixing the problem. We don't care how you do it, just bloody well do it. Hire consultants. Hire Vodacom. Don't care.

Start performing the obligations you owe your customers.

This is the second thread I've seen where you are using the "copy and paste" BS reply. Have you guys not figured out that this is a country wide problem that your network people should be investigating ? It's been going on for a long time now. I suspect that there may be a bigger problem then CellC is willing to admit to. Whatever the case, CellC should be attempting to fix it, instead of trying to assist one person at a time with this scripted response. I've taken a contract for my wife with CellC for a few months now, and her 3G is less than useless at the moment. I was supposed to move 2 more lines to you guys, but I think I will hold off until I see the outcome of this situation, and more importantly, how you resolve it.

To add ...

Amanzimtoti, Durban South
Athlone, Durban South
Umhlanga Rocks Drive, Durban North
La Lucia Ridge, Durban North

Full signal. No 3G. SpeedTest results (the times it actually finds a server) were in the region of 0.20kbps Down, 0.02kbps Up. iPhone 4. My MTN line, also an iPhone 4 gives me 5.2mbps Down and 2.3Mbps Up, in the same area, at the same time, with the CellC iPhone right next to the MTN one.

CELL C needs to actually have a fault report link on their website whereby the system automatically generates a reference number and you can check on the status on the reference number supplied. The fault system should have tick systems and area that way they can generate a report and see if it is isolated.

Can just see Vodacom doing their little happy dance.

@RPM can't we get official word from AKC? As far as the call centres concerned, the problem is on my side and the numerous devices I've tested my sim in..

Used it for some gaming in the past and my pings was a constant 30-40ms, now it fluctuates between 500 and 800ms

Kelvin, JHB - slow throughput. Last night speedtest - 139Kbps on full H+
Woodmead retail areas - Non-Existant service - Voice and Data

Got a BS reply from TK, Cell C rep on facebook about some silly network investigation form I must fill out... FYI Cell C...this is a very generalised issue. Chasing individual cases wont solve the problems with your back haul.

By now you Cell C should've released a statement about how you guys are going to fix this mess...and I agree with a previous comment, FFS get some Consultants because it looks like you cant solve this internally

I am just next to Woodmead in Gallo Manor. Went to Cell C at Morning Glen shopping centre. Guy says its an issue in the area and that I just have to wait. Gave me a form i filled in, same info that Cell_C on MyBB asked for. Gave it, he faxed it. Dont have any confidence that it will be resolved.

If only AKC lived in the area...would have had the best speeds ever ;)

100% agreed. In the vicinity of Beyers Naude Square too. Call quality too. Especially further off the ground. I struggle with calls breaking up, dropping, etc.
