JHB CBD, 5 bars HSPA+ , more than 8% loss on average and Avg Ping 577ms jumping to 3700+ . I have every second page timeout. This is unusable.

Can we all not come together and lay a claim against Cell C. What I am paying fees for every month if I cannot use it?

This is honestly pathetic... How about a statement at least acknowledging the problem and that its being looked at/worked on?

As a customer of Cell C after all the procedures, phone calls, requests, asking nicely, screaming, patience and understanding, what can i do to resolve this issue? ......................................I will answer this one..............................absolutely nothing.......lets face it the Telecommunication companies in this country have got us by the short and curly's as long as they pick up there pay check at the end of the month they happy. For the record this has been a on going problem since November 2012.

Still issues with this. What do we need to do to take it to ICASA or Consumer Commission? Surely they are not providing the service we paid for?

Plettenberg Bay - 3G

Bought some airtime while away in Plett, converted it to R45 worth of data for 300MB & additional 50MB they give away on that airtime, SMS & data promo.

Have to continually play around with the settings (between 3G preferred to GPRS only).
After a while on 3G (max 10 - 15 minutes), it loses the connection, then I need to activate GPRS only - network seems stable thereafter, on "dinosaur'' speeds.

Fortunately, I'm only reliant temporarily on a few essential things like e-mail & the odd site I need to visit - no downloading needed, but I can imagine the frustration from Cell C contract clients.

I look forward to getting back to ADSL, and hope to use up the remaining Cell C MB's back home, where Cell C in the past have had a more stable network.

In retrospect, I knew I should've gone with MTN @ double the price (still double, even though they've recently knocked down the prices of their prepaid) - wherever I've used them, their 3G has been perfectly stable.

Cell C - wake up you fools !

Still unusable speeds in Beacon Bay. Time to move on from Cell C. Their policy of not communicating with customers has now been very effective in getting me to leave. Cheers and thanks for nothing.

Isn't it time that Cell C owns up and give the option of cancelling contracts to those affected?
The service is not being delivered at this stage, but we're still paying.
I don't have beef with Cell C, still a voice customer, and I understand that with these good prices there would have been great interest, but the budget doesn't allow paying a monthly R200 for a non-functioning internet connection + R200 to now get functioning a one (e.g. if I move to 8ta in the next few days before the promotion ends).
It's all about budget now and getting a connection I can use in the day.
