List of Known Fake News Sites in South Africa (and beyond)

Family. Some of them removed me from facebook because I said it's fake news :crylaugh:

That's a good start!!

Now the sad thing is, they would believe that the articles are the truth, but the disclaimer that states it's satire, it apparently NOT? :crylaugh:

The only thing to do with that profound level of wilful ignorance is remove them from your social circles so the stupid doesn't leak into you.

Correct, also unfriend people who are now sharing that stupid bullschit story about the Spur staff member smearing period blood onto white people's food.

Jirre people.

I've seen a newspaper share that one already.

But fake news = selling more news... getting more eyeballs to the page... making money actually...

nah, I'm totally off news of any kind now, whether genuwyne, satirical or fake.

Need to add political or celeb gossip to that list. Try reading non-political news that isn't about celeb gossip - nothing comes up.

I'd like to see the following sites added to the list:

gossipmillsa.com

nationalnewsbulletin.com

Both are promoting a fake story about Ramaphosa talking about land ownership, which never took place.

http://gossipmillsa.com/entertain-land-issue-black-owned-farms-productive-cyril-ramaphosa/

http://nationalnewsbulletin.com/201...black-owned-farms-productive-cyril-ramaphosa/

Yeah, I saw that, and a FB friend shared it. So I told him it's fake, and he deleted the comment. :crylaugh: Goodbye!
