Movies and shows are missing from Netflix's cheaper ad-supported plan

Subscribers to Netflix's recently-launched Basic with Ads plan not only deal with commercials while watching but also get fewer movies and TV shows than those on the ad-free plans.

Netflix launched the cheaper subscription plan in 12 countries in early November, with South Africa excluded from the initial rollout.

You would think with commercial breaks in content and the revenue generated from that they would be able to keep the amount of content the same surely?

weird that you would limit any shows or movies seeing has you get the ad revenue.

If I was a film producer, I would split the screen of the viewer. 75% of the screen dedicated to the movie and the other 25% dedicated to ads. Let people watch movies with ads the whole movie through. There is no more money to be made, so hit it with ads whether in cinema or at home on streaming services or on discs.

Seems pretty half-arsed hey. It should have been priced 4.99 USD, allow a solid gap between this ad version & the povo spec standard version.
