So, something to consider: you're 22pts ahead (Citeh have a game in hand against us, so 19pts ahead after that), with 10 games still left to play, but you could win it if you get max points from the next four games. What happens if, just before the 4th game, the rest of the season is called off because of COVID-19 (it's becoming a reality)?

I've read a few articles that reckon because you mathematically wouldn't have won it yet, you wouldn't be guaranteed the title? That would probably go down as one of biggest injustices in sporting history, but may be a pill you'd have to swallow.

There is a post on the banter thread I made a while back regarding the Premier League and Liverpool.

There is something unnatural with our relationship with this tournament, insofar as when I read about the possibility of the League not finishing this year, it was almost an expectation. Corona virus , or something similar to the Man City hacking thing, or something will come up.

Needless to say, even if we do win it, I'm hoping that we still move on to another tournament sooner rather than later

We are have now lost 3 of the last 4, not sure what it is but we definitely miss Henderson in the middle.

Just confusing. Team is experiencing a dip. Play the normal team. Chelsea was full strength bar one and it showed.

So now we’re trying to get back into form but not at full strength. I think Trent is the source of most our assists so leaving him out cuts off a large part of our threat.

Midfielders scored Chelsea’s goals which is telling. We just outnumbered and very narrow with fab still struggling. We finished the game with almost our first team which for me just shows thats how we should have started. Secure result then sub in fringe players.

Just back from the winter break we don’t need to rest players. They need to get back into form so they must play. Bad goals conceded again but the right result on the night.

Really was a chance to try out a fresh formation. Makes the weekends game very interesting. Eddie will be studying these three defeats closely. As will all the teams we will be facing since we not showing any signs of cutting through that bank of players effectively.

Well, now is the time for Liverpool as a whole to show what it has got, we have had piss poor performances the last few games.

Well tbh the dip in form had to happen, it just had to happen when we lost in the UCL and get knocked out of the FA Cup. Seems the winter break has come at the wrong time.

League is done and dusted, but i still think we have a chance to get past Atletico. Every team has studied us and trying to play the same tactics, close up at the back and then counter us. Klopp needs to change the game plan and keep to defending teams to play differently.

We need to invest in the team in the summer, a fullback to replace Lovren/Matip, wing back to cover for TAA and Robbo, an AM to replace Lallana, either Sancho or Havertz and finally a backup striker to either replace outoing Salah/Origi with Timo Werner

Biggest dissapointment for me is the basic mistakes and the lack of pressing

They look flat. whole team just looks out of sorts, not closing, bad first touches, bad passes, bad mistake gifts to opposition, no hunger and agression, even Gomez not closing down Barkley...

Seems we have bigger problems.
Out forwards are not getting good ball, and not with any speed...
We have let in 5 goals with 0 scored.
at this rate Athletico just need to put all 10 men behind the ball and will comfortably win, with a probable counter attacking goal...

We are definitely not the best team in the world, far from it. had a good run, rode our luck, and seemingly most other teams were average or poor this EPL season, the fight to avoid relegation will make it interesting.

We need to stop trying to walk the ball into the goal and actually just take a shot instead of dribbling it again and again.

Nevertheless, it's just a blip in form. We'll get back to our killer ways. We need Hendo back in midfield so that the pressing is happening again. Anybody who ever doubted what he adds to the team must surely understand now.

What would make a team the best in the world?

I honestly just want the league this year.
You should get it...

Newcastle on the last day, Bournmouth this weekend, Aston Villa, Brighton and Burnley are all easily winnable games plus you also play City so beat them and the race is over

Then the red team is going to win the light blue team As well. Bonus.
