Ok. A belated post from me.

Well done to Liverpool on winning the EPL trophy. You chaps did it in emphatic style. There are no debates about you being the winners. (and frikken winning it like no one has done before!)

Hurts to say this, of course, but credit given where credit is due.

*the stuff in the banter thread is of course what you need to expect as EPL champions :)

:ROFL: this, unfortunately, did not age well....

Ah well, have to console myself by looking at that trophy again
Went pear shaped very quickly yes. Was referring more to the clenching while watching that's not required anymore.

They were terrible. Rare that back and front has a bad day together. But we won at our ground. They won at theirs. Besides they had a blatant unfair advantage. Since this whole thing restarted.

Hi Ed's. Hope you are all well.

Just wanted to ask if you know of any genuine interest from clubs for any of the players we are willing to sell?

Karius, Lovren, Grujic, Wilson, Shaqiri .

{Ed002's Note - Loris Karius (G) Liverpool find him back on the doorstep and will need to find a solution - perhaps a reduced price and an early exit - CSKA and Hertha Berlin offer opportunities - does not wish to return to Turkey although there is interest from there. With Boeckx getting toward the end of his career and Roef's departure this summer already agreed Anderlecht would like him to challenge first choice Van Crombrugge. Wolves need cover, but Karius would not be first choice there - and regular playing time is what he will be after.
Devan Lovren (CB) there was interest from Roma but that has likely gone.
Marko Grujic (CM) Borussia Monchengladbach and Lazio have been talking to his agent and Liverpool will likely get offers from both clubs.
Harry Wilson (RW) Minamino likely ends his Liverpool career - Leeds, if promoted, may offer an option.
Xherdan Shaqiri (AM/RW) wants more game time and if he leaves it opens the door for HG player to ease an issue the club has - Seville interest slipping away - Galatasaray want a loan with an option to buy.}

What about outgoings from the club Ed? Who are likely players to leave? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Outbound:
Shamal George (G) Gone
Loris Karius (G) Liverpool find him back on the doorstep and will need to find a solution - perhaps a reduced price and an early exit - CSKA and Hertha Berlin offer opportunities - does not wish to return to Turkey although there is interest from there. With Boeckx getting toward the end of his career and Roef's departure this summer already agreed Anderlecht would like him to challenge first choice Van Crombrugge. Wolves need cover, but Karius would not be first choice there - and regular playing time is what he will be after.}
Andy Lonergan (G) out of contract - could stay if Adrian leaves
Adrian (G) has a year to run on his contract but Real Betis would like Liverpool to release him for free this summer - but the club would prefer him to stay - and I expect him the stay
Devan Lovren (CB) perhaps in the summer he will move on
Nathaniel Phillips (CB) if Liverpool add Diego Carlos or another CB then time may have come for Phillips - Stuttgart would like to keep him on loan and may be open to buying him at the right price.
Nathaniel Clyne (RB) Gone.
Pedro Chirivella (DM/CM) Moved to Nantes.
Anderson Arroyo (LB) likely get another loan or the club need to cut him loose.
Adam Lewis (LB) expect a loan - Blackpool are keen.
Gini Wijnaldum (CM) was priced out of a move last summer and will be allowed to leave if a new contract is not agreed. Naby Keita has failed to step up to take his place so the club will look to hold on to Wijnaldum if they can - perhaps until either Keita sorts his act out or until Curtis Jones is ready to step up.
Marko Grujic (CM) Borussia Monchengladbach and Lazio have been talking to his agent and Liverpool will likely get offers from both clubs.
Ovie Ejaria (CM) expected to join Reading in the summer.
Adam Lallana (LM, AM, CM) time will come in the summer and he will have options home and abroad no doubt
Xherdan Shaqiri (AM/RW) wants more game time and if he leaves it opens the door for HG player to ease an issue the club has
Isaac Christie-Davies (AM) Gone
Harry Wilson (RW) Minamino likely ends his Liverpool career
Taiwo Awoniyi (F) no meaningful future - will sell in the summer if possible - loan to Mainz has not worked out well
Liam Millar (F) - a youngster who will suffer the same fate as many of the youngsters at Liverpool with opportunity not there
Rhian Brewster (S) loan to Swansea again perhaps or keep him and integrate him in to the team.}

I wish we had bought Timo Werner now looking at how off the team was yesterday.
Mane or Salah could still leave or get injured. Firmino is a ghost of his former self.
Mane had at last 2 excellent goal scoring opportunities and he could not properly get his feet sorted or control the ball.
Our on ball control skills looked really bad last night, pitch wide.

Guys relax, it was 1 off day and our worst game of the season, after lockdown and after winning the EPL.
Have faith in the team and manager. We will respond the next game and the rest of the games that are left.

We don't need to add too much players as we have a well gelled team. Our priority now is a centre back, Diego Carlos or Koulibaye, replacement for Couts and cover for Robertson on the left as Milner is getting on and won't last too long.

Klopp will also give the fringe players and yougsters a chance until end of the season. I also think the next few games will be like a pre season in gelling our combinations.

Upwards and upwards

So not time yet for

#jurgenmustfall

?
Um... Liverpool have lost two games this season, one last season and five the season before.

That's eight, in total, since the start of the 17/18 season.

City have lost eight *this* season.

In the last year or so, we've picked up our sixth Champions League trophy, a Super Cup, a Club World Cup trophy and, in case you've been in a coma for a week, our first Premier League trophy in thirty years.

We good with our Jurgen Norbert Klopp.

Thanks.
