The merry go round of fixtures has started. Let’s see how we hold up. Ox was far from impressive again yesterday. Wonder what’s happened to Curtis. He was ahead of ox and naby in the past.

That period where he lost the ball 3/4 times in a row I was fuming. Curtis was making good progress before his injury. We desperately need someone from that 3 to step up.

There was one point where the ball was passed into the centre of the field and he just stood there watching it - Bobby would have anticipated that ball and moved to capture and recycle.

Edit: then again, the Elliot incident might have been on his mind given his own long layoff due to contact injury.

"We were able to reduce the dislocation immediately on the pitch and Harvey had surgery today to repair the fracture and ligaments damaged in the incident. The operation was a success so his comeback starts now," club doctor Jim Moxon said in a statement https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/443363-harvey-elliott-undergoes-successful-ankle-surgery.

"We won't put pressure on him by setting a specific timeframe beyond being able to say with confidence we expect him to feature again later in the season following our rehab programme."

Good news... In the context of Sunday's bad news.
