In these social media oriented days I don't think that laaitie is ever going to recover....especially if he continues to screw up in the pre-season

Why don't Liverpool just buy a PL GK? There are tons of excellent options..

Am conflicted about this. I think he's an awesome player...but dunno how he will fit in. As I think he might have some ego as well.

Maybe I should just be happy that we will have better depth in our squad.

We still need to fix our defence and GK as well. And no word on that thus far

We have one of the best defenders in the world by his own assessment. Ffs why the need for reinforcement. *♂️

I could not be happier. Adds quality to our squad in an area where we are severely lacking quality in depth. He's experienced at 26, played on the big stage, and still has bags of talent and much to prove.

The UCL final was an example if we ever needed one to show why this signing makes sense. Salah goes off and we're stuck.

For 13 million I am more than happy with it. Player wanted LFC move 3/4 years ago but Bayern blocked it. He may have ego but too many of our players don't, we lack that bit of nasty or arrogance that sometimes gets you over the line.

He's quick, has a helluva of a left peg, very good with deadball, can beat his man , good in tight spaces, and has shown he knows where the goal is. I think most of the concern is aimed at his potential lack of work ethic but if you watched Salah last season he did very little in the defensive areas of the pitch as well. So let's give the lad a chance. I'm positive he's going to be boss.

I'm very happy to see XS join LFC - I think playing in a team that works as hard as ours will transform him and we'll see him contribute plenty more than he did at Stoke

Spot on.

I'm looking forward to seeing play in our system.

Kloppo speaks:

“I think the English phrase to explain the decision to sign Xherdan is a ‘no-brainer’. When someone like him becomes available in this way you have to react if you are smart – and we have,” the manager told Liverpoolfc.com.

“He has speed and ability, has the right amount of arrogance on the football pitch, real bravery to want the ball and influence things. To play for us these are mandatory requirements.

“We are the perfect move for him in this moment as well I think, because he needs to push himself and challenge himself and our environment encourages that. We will want him to express himself but also learn and improve the areas of his game where he can still make progression.

“From our perspective, he is someone who makes a big difference to the squad and team, because he can fit in so many positions in our system. He gives us greater flexibility in how we can use our current players also. This is cool.

“I know him well from his time in Switzerland and especially Germany – I have been a long-time admirer. But the added bonus now is that he knows the Premier League and what it takes to perform in this uniquely intense environment. He also did really well at the World Cup – so he comes to us full of belief and confidence.

“Finally, Xherdan the person will fit in perfectly at Liverpool I believe. He has personality and drive – he is someone who will feed off the positive emotion of our crowd. He joins a dressing room of really good lads and I know they will welcome him with open arms and help him settle and integrate quickly.”

What? what you talking about you have the best defender in the world - Lovren :p Don't forget you also have Trent Alexander Arnold who got a whole 79 minutes this entire world cup that's gotta count for something right?

Seriously Klopp really needs to buy a striker and a proper goalkeeper this Karius needs to get the boot ASAP
