Premier League takeover broker Keith Harris believes Liverpool could go into financial meltdown in January and might be forced to sell up.

Harris, who has masterminded deals for Chelsea, Aston Villa, Hull City, West Ham United and Manchester City and is currently seeking buyers for Newcastle United and Everton, claims that the Reds could be severely affected by the global credit crunch.

Yikes. The big 4 could face some rough times ahead. Together they have about an accumulated debt of $2.3 billion

Not actually. They are in fact extremely deep in debt. They have the most debt in the EPL thanks to the stupid Glazer family.

But they are managing their debt ( SO far). All they need to do is win the EPL every second year, evidently they are not finding that difficult.

All i want to see with Liverpool is the sale of Torres when a big offer comes through ( /me going in dreamland - useless Tevez gets sold Real Madrid and Ferguson [uses some brains] and throws in a british record offer :D - /me wakes up )

There is no way Torres will be sold!

The finances might be a problem in terms of the stadium plans but the squad is decent. 'Pool are on the shoulder of the "mighty" Chelsea as of now :D

I agree, but Rafa basically told Torres he is nothing special, and Torres did say he wants to return to Spain (someday) so i wouldnt be surprised to see him leave after a season or two ...

Torres would be a major loss to Liverpool if he had to go, but the kingpin in the Liverpool side at the moment and will always be is, Steven Gerrard

Even a dummy knows that if you leave the best striker in the world on the bench, you indirectly telling him he aint anything special. Rafa is known for messing things up, and i feel he is doing it again. (im not complaining though )

Just my 2c man :)
