What is the government doing in the two years they have told us to be patient for? Surely they won't have renewed all of the existing power stations by then, if anything it looks like things are getting worse. And it can't be that they're waiting for new capacity as even at full capacity Medupi and Kusile wouldn't be nearly enough.

Got switched off unexpectedly at 20:05 last night and then back on again at about 20:25.. go figure.
Your area was probably scheduled 8pm to 10pm as part of stage 3a/b. Stage 3 ended around 20:20 (read it changed back to stage 2) and they started turning back on the stage3 areas, at least here in Cape Town Bellville North that is exactly what happened.

Thats a fault, not loadshedding
Not a fault afaik.

It may seem selfish of me to say, but I really hope that Eishkom cuts of those 20 non-paying municipalities in June. The amount of electricity they'll be able to save for the paying municipalities should be more than enough to avoid this constant load-shedding bull****.

I mean yea I agree to cut them off. However doubt it will be the cure.

Loving this inverter.. (media) server with 7 disks + ADSL kit + wireless kit + Lamps for my chameleon powered up lasts at least 10 hours. Wouldn't power up my PC on it for the sake of battery time, but I run my laptops quite cozily.

Got it here: http://www.maidenelectronics.co.za/...-n-Play-Inverter--Batteries-w-2-x-100Ahs.aspx

Surprised and impressed that they haven't bumped the price up recently - Bought it at that price two months ago right before it started to get really bad again.

I will be seriously looking into that. This is getting too much already....

W'ere fortunate that we are hardly ever affected by load shedding, but we stay approx 10km west of Pretoria Gardens on a plot, so I don't think the density is worth while to switch off.

Can't find us on the Tshwane web page either

The only ways I will miss the 8pm slot is if they suspend the blackouts (high improbable) or revert to Stage 1 (high unlikely).
They toyed with group 5 last night, 20:00 came and went and the power was still on :)

... 20:20 and the lights went out :(
