Hi CellC,

On the 8th of January I purchased a 3Gb Data voucher from the CellC shop at the Waterfront in Cape Town for R399.

Yesterday (9th) I tried to load it on to a new SIM card, which I bought at the same time, using *102* - only to get a message saying the voucher had expired.
I tried to load it by dialing 141 (I think?) and was told the voucher is invalid.

I called CellC help and the support guy said the system showed the voucher had been used already by my phone (new SIM) but the weird thing was that there was no record of the voucher
ever having been loaded onto my phone in the first place. He was very confused and I am very confused.

Funny thing is, I received an SMS from CellC saying they had given me R5 bonus airtime but my balance is still 0, after loading my data and getting R5 bonus airtime!

He gave me a reference number but I know sometimes support goes a bit quicker via the CellC rep here on myBB (Armando) who is quite helpful so I'm hoping you can help me out as I can't really afford to have
R400 just disappear! Thanks! My support reference is 2010903500, let me know if you need anymore info.

It's been a week now CellC, I've been patient but I'm starting to get upset about this. How can I spend R400 and still have no data a week later?
I certainly hope that after CellC has finally given me the data I paid for, that they intend to compensate me in some way for this extended period of no internet access.

Can anyone give me ANY advice on how to get my money back from CellC, PLEASE.

They sold me this faulty voucher 2 weeks ago and are refusing to to resolve the problem or even communicate with me about it.

What recourse does an individual have when a large company refuses to sort out an issue?
It cost me R400, which may be small change to them but is my entire internet budget for the month.

Any ideas or advice?

Post a complaint on hellopeter. They do respond there. I've always been helped within about 36 hours there.

Unfortunately I've already gone that route. Someone got back to me to say they'll investigate.
That was already a week ago and was the last communication I've received from them.
All I want is some feedback. If they are having a technical problem then call me and explain the problem, why it's taking so long, an estimate of how long it will take to be resolved - something, anything!

This silence from them is what is so frustrating because after 2 weeks I don't know if they actually intend sorting it out or will continue ignoring me.
I just want my data or my money back and cellc will never have to hear from me again.
