Soo anyone still supporting De Ruyter 2 of the worst years of loadshedding? Excuses still being oh but he's doing maintenance and and rubbish? I mean the stations are falling over harder under him by the looks of it, we're actually burning more diesel as well.

Where do you see that?
Maybe it is just your sub station going wonky
Incoming side of my inverter, my measurements were confirmed correct with another forum member in Midrand. Substation isn't wonky as it cannot change the frequency

So we have no power form 18:00 to 20:30 - the exact time my eldest is having her grade 7 farewell....

Going to be lovely with generators running next to event :-(

Mains voltage has risen quite a bit... 245V, but now 50.1 Hz. It's usually 234V. Probably all the loads being automatically disconnected at various types of plant

Same, I love this new 2 hour schedule from city power, lovely to have power for 6 hours before it goes off again. Stage 2 wasn't so bad on the four hour one and we had days off, not a day off on this new rotation.

Yes, they should have consumed the spice from Arrakis to try to gain prescient abilities in when the failures will occur...

They should be prepared for these failures, how many times have we had the conveyer belt excuse now, seriously. If you know you have a shitty conveyer belt then you make a plan for a back up of some kind, if you don't have one then plan load shedding to have one in place. Anything but the current shitshow would be better. They've had years of this kak now to at least try and put some plan in place.

And everyone keeps saying but the current CEO inherited a sinking ship, but it seems he didn't even bother to put some form of floatation device anywhere either.

The conveyor belt is a pre-programmed excuse. City Power in JHB use the "Hau eish cable theft" one for any outage. Its their default go-to excuse when they don't want to tell you the real reason
