Ive been searching through the forums and cant find much. What options are there for local filesharing? Are there any torrent sites, dc++ hubs still around?

Jip, there are still some local torrent sites around…and there are some nice local dc hubs too. The local torrent sites are very hush hush, and are Invite only.

On the local dc++ front I recommend Th€ jÖïN† Hub (the.joint.za.net:1433). First download saDC++ from http://sadc.bounceme.co.za/ .

‘Other’ dc++ hubs:
openweb.kicks-ass.net:21
there was a iburst hub(the address I had, doesn’t work),I don’t know what happened to it?

I have strongDC++

When I try to connect to either of those hubs i get:
*** No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

What am I doing wrong?

either?....well,the second one does this to me.
But the first one...did you read my instructions about needing saDC++?
try the.joint.za.net:1433 OR the.joint.za.net:110

Neither of those work for me, and I am using sadc++. Is there anything I need to setup to use it? Could it be that my account doesnt allow me to use dc++, for some reason I am unable to connect to IRC :/

Who's your ISP? Is it SAIX or IS based?
