Hi guys, just got my ADSL line installed (USED to be a sentech guy). And, WOOOW, it is amazing. I'm trying to find my feet again, and would like to know if there are any local emule/edonkey/torrent servers I can use?

Thanks in advance!

I've noticed some posts about zahub.kicks-ass.net - but is it really local?
Tracert seem to go LOOONG way before reaching its endpoint

I don't think it would work too well since the networks all discover each other and your data would end up going international anyway. Of course if you're using a local only account it may sort it out.
BitTorrent would probably work better or something like DC++.
From what I've heard the IS News server is the main source of stuff nowdays but it's been really slow recently.

Hmmm, ja, sorry, this was a dumb question I posted.

All the server probably does is maintain client connections to the ed2k network. When downloading something, it will probably download from any other client connected on the network thats got the data needed, and it wont restrict the clients it serve to only local clients.

My bad - but thank you anyways !
