“The team will then be flown courtesy of EA to the knock out tournament in Taipei, which will take place on the 2nd of December, where they will compete head on with teams from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and India,” she says.

With BF having such a big following in South Africa, EA is excited to partner with Agasa for the first time to send South African gamers to an international BF tournament, Gobey concludes.

It is probaly hosted on SGS (SAIX GAMING SERVERS aka TELKOM), and as you will see in the latest NAG (NEW AGE GAMING MAGAZINE) on the article how SGS run their gaming servers, you will know that probaly half of all SA gamers are banned from it.

So I just want to know how "fair" this competition is when it aint open to everyone.

Don't bother complaining at EA GAMES SOUTH AFRICA, they are big buddies with the SGS GAMESMASTER.

If you've been permanently banned by SGS, then you deserve not to play!

Unless you are a repeat offender who constantly look for trouble wherever you go, You should be able to play in this League.

BF2142 has a clean Slate so far and shouldnt have any bans.

However if your out to cause trouble, then dont cry if you cant participate in events.

So you're part of that gang that believes that freedom of speech should be oppressed? and that it deserves a permanent global ban for stating your opinion at a certain matter at hand?

@Jeremi - SGS are responsible for stopping their game servers from becomming a cheatfest, enabling the best possible fair - gameplay environment possible within the particular game.

They have explained their affiliation with teklom, and have indicated that tekom bashing will not be allowed.

And you want to berate them for that ?
Wierd.

I said "FREEDOM OF SPEECH", where was cheating metioned? Fair gameplay for getting banned when you challange them on their policies, where they allow 9 year olds playing on a ESRB-RATED 17 game? More illegal than anything.

They ban you for saying something like "r3tard, or ****", but allow underage kids to play on their servers. How fair is that?

I'm not gonna get into this.

Everyone has their own opinions. However As I stated before. If you keep your end clean, you should be able to play BF2142 in the League.

If you cause trouble you wont.

In the End, the choice is yours.

By you or by Elyzium? Funny how AGASA tries to be an "independant gaming league", but their rules are still governed by Telkom's RoE.

SGS has always had degree's of bans, if you've flounted their rules so much that they've slapped you with a permanent ban, then I say it's fit and deserving.

If you get drunk and rowdy in a pub, then you get bounced, you're a "public nuisance" and are not protected by Freedom of Speach. Ditto here. It's their boards, their servers, they're free, not 'public'.

As far as kiddies playing U17 games, I feel your pain but it's difficult to prove that, where it's easy to nail someone shooting their mouth off on a board.

lol @jd, dude, stay away from the good stuff until after work, or at least share ;)
