I said "FREEDOM OF SPEECH", where was cheating metioned? Fair gameplay for getting banned when you challange them on their policies, where they allow 9 year olds playing on a ESRB-RATED 17 game? More illegal than anything.

They ban you for saying something like "r3tard, or ****", but allow underage kids to play on their servers. How fair is that?

Yup ... now propose the means of implementing the underage check. This is the parents problem, not the host's problem. And offensive language is not an age issue, it's a community issue. The community does not accept offensive language. You don't like it, join another community.
Why are we repeating all of this ?

SGS has always had degree's of bans, if you've flounted their rules so much that they've slapped you with a permanent ban, then I say it's fit and deserving.

If you get drunk and rowdy in a pub, then you get bounced, you're a "public nuisance" and are not protected by Freedom of Speach. Ditto here. It's their boards, their servers, they're free, not 'public'.

As far as kiddies playing U17 games, I feel your pain but it's difficult to prove that, where it's easy to nail someone shooting their mouth off on a board.

The South African Communist Party is now a registered party, I think you should sign up with them, they seem fit for your type.

SGS ain't free, why do you think there is a forum called MyADSL.co.za, to complain about Telkom's high prices. Think again. TELKOM = SGS.

We said that we would be back with more exciting news, and here we are. AGASA just want guys to have fun, play games and grow the SA gaming community.

Jeremi, the guys at SGS are really nice people. One thing you seem to forget, this is their JOB; not communism. If you were pulled over by a traffic cop before, say for talking on your mobile phone while driving, get fined R500, chances are pretty good that you don't have much good to say about them. But that is his/her Job - crap job at that, but somebody has to do it. If Ely just let every person be to write what they want, he will loose his job. To expect this from another in the name of "Freedom of Speech" is a bit unfair in my honest opinion.

SGS gives everybody the opportunity to play in the AGASA league. And we would like to see that happen. The gaming community united, and contributing to ensure the best players represent our country. I hope that you will give it a bash as there is no harm in trying.

And let's face it ... this is a really fantastic prize. How many other companies are spending the moohlah to give our players the opportunities to compete internationally? Let's rather enjoy this opportunity and contribute positively to gaming in SA.

Very true fire. It just seems to me that there are so many factions in gaming, would be nice to see everybody work together for once.

Louis, have a look on the SGS forums - I see there are a couple of clans recruiting. Servers will be up soon and then you will be able to get in some practice before the tournament kicks off.

Damn I really want to get into competitive gaming. I only play single player at the moment.
Three reasons...
1) Don't have a strong enough PC... actually its only my GFX card (not a good excuse though)
2) Don't have internet...Yet
3) Lan gaming don't seem to be that big here (planningon opening my own Internet Cafe in my little village)
