Just a question or two ? Why is openweb the only ISP that offers 30gb local for so cheap ?? and why so little options for local only accounts by other ISP's ? Why not 60gb/90gb/120gb accounts at discounted prices ? common Openweb show us ;)

Well some of us spend a lot of time in front of our PC's :p and the main thing is if I only buy one 60gb account a month I can save also on bank charges... 30gb+bank charges x 2 or 3 p/m is too much :p and the ISP's is cashing in on smaller accounts...

No ISP (other than Telkom) is "Cashing in" on ADSL at the price that are going round now.

Well I agree with you+/-. I'm looking at why should I buy 2/3 accounts p/m when you only can buy one... It doens matter what we use it for... The question was why not more options ? If you cant use 120gb p/m then ISP will score :p

So far I can't find any other ISP's than Openweb local only 30gb for a cool price of R139. No other ISP going to try to at least equal that price ? I'm just amazed that they can do it...

I can't imagine why anyone would want a Local Only cap. It's a waste of money, since local sites are limited, and most of the good sites are on Intl (except for this one hehe). :D

I run a 30gig local openweb account and a 3gig telkom internet account side by side, routing all local traffic throught the local account and all international through the telkom internet account and it rocks. The only reason that i may cancel the local only account in the future is if telkom increase the cap or drop it all together.

I still can't figure out what you can actually do on local websites? You can't possibly spend 30GB on forums or chat sites, and since local sites don't really offer any downloads, it's the only thing you do on local.

Well I spend more bandwidth on local sites (myadsl) than I do on international sites, email and IM. Just looking at my stats today ;)

Why are local sites limited ? Cheaper local bandwidth will increase content/multimedia rich local sites and it will attract all sites hosted internationally to come back to be hosted in SA :) creating jobs and revenue for SA... It's more than just downloading from IS News server.... (ps. why is everyone pointing to IS News server when you talk about more cap ?) isshh i'm giving up :(

My usage today has been: server admin'ing, emails and a bit of browsing for international and only browsing myadsl for local. My local usage is higher than my international usage for today. I also split up my international and local by using a prepaid Webafrica account so I can see how much I use.

On other days when I play css online my local usage would be way higher and I would never make a month at the same costs as now if I only had one account.

My local usage is pretty high every month, if I download a lot from local servers or not ;)

I love IS! Why do you need a 120gig account when you can do 40gigs in 2days and your usage says 9gigs ;)

How do you set this up? Is it automatic, or do you change your router settings each time? If this is somehow automatic, it would be excellent as many .co.za websites are actually hosted internationally and is therefore hard for a browser (read "human") to distinguish between the two.
