I'm just whining cause I can only brew mine on the weekend and then its a week of staring at bubbles and another week of opening the fridge every 5 minutes to see if its ready yet.

poor performance on your part... tsk tsk

Posting real beer is like the snob thing to do :X3:
its one of my last Coopers Mexican Cerveza beers that i bottled about 2 weeks ago
i have run out of Pineapple Cider
have 36 litres of that kak brewing away since Sunday and the bloody airlock wont stop going 110% full blast
also have a 21 litre batch of expired Coopers going that expired 6 years ago but im brewing it as a test, only costing me a 1kg sugar and a bread yeast, that gets bottled and will be ready for consumption on 22 May
i might die

Mead was starting to taste rotten a few weeks after adding raisins to boost the fermentation. Used an empty osa olive oil can and some aluminium tubes to make a rudimentary still.
The can works on my induction stove, at 80 deg, the alcohol cooked out and caught in a coke bottle. The stuff burns with a blue flame, so hopefully mostly ethanol. Got quite a buzz from 2 glasses of the grog mixed with coke.
Tomorrow i`ll buy a 6 pack of alcohol free "beer" and put the alcohol back to turn it into beer.

I spoke to Ryan from Brew Craft this morning. They are doing online orders only but stocks are limited. Managed to get my order in with them and now just waiting on eft to clear and then couriers.

Just wish I had a source of bottles in Durban. Allegedly Console and Nampack are not allowed to sell beer/spirit bottles until level 3.
Wouldnt the 500ml Cooldrink glass bottles (Coke, Fanta, Stoney etc) with its twist cap work a treat for home brewing? Still available at several smaller outlets.. Cafes and so forth. Our Spar here recently stocked them too.

So my 1st batch of pineapple beer has been bottled and I also started brewing a 2nd batch of guava & pineapple.

I had 4 drafts last night, and i completely underestimated the strength. This stuff is hella strong, it has a massive kick.
