Was at westpack earlier. Got these bad boys for R70 a peice, with the taps. They hold 10l each.

Started my own Coopers lager batch tonight.

Any tips on where I can get bottles to use once I get to that stage? I have a case of empty quarts but that won't be nearly enough.

The brew shops I checked are either out of stock or not selling during stage 4.

Try the bottle stores if you get a nice manager. I've been able to pay the deposit price for a case or two of empty quarts before.

It seems that BeerLab has what I want. Plus a whole lot of other stuff
Anyone had good or bad experience from them?
I'm a bit late on this but BeerLab is awesome. Only had good experiences with them so far. The online shop is closed atm tho, but once they reopen I'm ordering some more supplies as well.

im picking up another bucket next week and then gonna do 2 x Coopers at a time
i have 6 Cooper tins to make, so that will give me over 120 litres which is good for 2 months
just hope my supplier can get more Coopers into the country
getting tired of this Cider kak everyday
My first batch of Coopers is also on the go.

You don't perhaps know of an online brew shop that can hook a brother up with empties for when it comes to bottling day?

All the online brew shops I checked seems sold out.

Wonder if Consol has an online shop that'll courier to me

I have a similar 20l which I got from my local GoZone water supplier. Just have to be careful with the taps, not the greatest quality, I had to return 2 of them because they were dripping.

Westpack also has some replacement hot water grade taps for when they wear out.

expensive but you could get these

i would prob go look what else they have.
Agreed, I had a look at them yesterday, they look good but the seals aren't so tight. I went with some of their other screw cap glass bottles, but had to scrounge a bit because of short supply at Mall@55 WestPack in Monavoni.

Bought a couple of these 10l beauties from Mambo today.

A little pricy possibly at R69 but perfect for my needs. They also do a larger 20l one.

I have the 20l version, R110.00 filled with water at GoZone, there is a batch with faulty taps that drip, so be sure to check it out before using it.

Wouldnt the 500ml Cooldrink glass bottles (Coke, Fanta, Stoney etc) with its twist cap work a treat for home brewing? Still available at several smaller outlets.. Cafes and so forth. Our Spar here recently stocked them too.
yes they will work perfect
Any idea if brew shops (or anyone else) sell twist caps I can use to bottle my Coopers?

I can't find any empty bottles to buy atm. I do have a kak load of empty 340ml NRB's but I can't use them with the crown caps I've got.

Careful out there ouens

This was discussed shortly after it happened. They added hand sanitizer and meths if memory serves to up the kick in their homebrew because they were idiots. Go back a bit and you will see where it was talked about.

thats great news, no i dont know of any places that sell bottles as i have always used my empty black label bottles
PET bottles can handle quite a mean force, that'll be your best bet and maybe just ease of a little on the priming sugar
