Still a work in progress, but my little idea to keep track of my brew's bubbles: :)

Not the best picture. Essentially I use an infra-red collision detector and count the bubbles per minute, resetting the count every minute. The extreme amounts are me testing and finding the sweet spot.
Ultimately it will give me a sawtooth graph when working correctly, as I update it every 20 seconds.

What I want to know, is why do you want to count the bubbles?

As what fermenting completes, the bubbling slows down.
Bubbles are not really a reliable way of tracking fermentation (it has been mentioned a couple of times). Not trying to take anything away from your project- looks pretty cool to be honest. If you want something to track fermentation (and if you want to build it yourself), I suggest an iSpindel- although parts may be hard to come by, especially now.

Exactly the reason why I did this. Once we're out of the naughty corner, then I will get proper equipment.

So the 4l Rhodes grape juice turned out a bit of a dud. After a bit more than a week it's still extremely sweet and have some wierd aftertaste that I can't even describe.

Pineapple brew is ready today. Does not taste as good as the apple/pear mix I made previously but alcohol content is a bit higher.

Can you freeze this beer? Oversupply issues...

Secondly,

Can you use frot-ish pineapples for a new brew?

So I find myself with no tropical beer and next batch only ready in 5 days. That Project Management course has failed me
