wowser that is a lot of sugar, you would normally add like 1KG of dextrose to a 23lt batch, that is going to be rough as hell
The recipe calls for 5 cups of sugar for 6L, and a cup is variable, mine weighed in at 200g.

I worked on 125g per litre. Worked well for the grape.

Just wish I could have found some brewers yeast.

Boet, some of the things going on in this thread are thousands of years old.

Examining one's roots, sourcing stuff locally, and making your own booz and bread is not necessarily a bad thing.

In fact, it is probably a very good thing :sneaky:

Another noob question.

After I've strained out all the beer, what use is there for the leftover pineapple pieces?

Other than baking a l33t pineapple cake.

You can be the guinea pig and see how they taste I chucked mine out after I "bottled".

You can usually do a second batch out of pineapple's. Boil some more water/sugar and add one fresh pineapple then cool it down(so you don't kill the yeast) and add to your fermentation vessel for round 2.

Otherwise the compost heap is a good place for it.
