if anybody is using an airlock for their beers
don't worry if you don't see bubbling in the airlock
50% of the time i see nothing
25% of the time i see bubbling for less than 24hrs
25% of the time i see bubbling for around 2-3 days

just because you physically cannot see anything doesn't necessary mean that nothing is happening

also remember not to open your lid often, you mustn't allow oxygen in, those recipes saying stir twice a day are smoked, just swirl the bucket around if you really feel the desire to provoke your beers

i got like 8 boxes full of beer still. different flavors.. all craft beers from all over the world.

I bought like alot of them as part of this Beer club, so they got delivered to my house every month (24 beers a month) - 4 beers of each x 6, each month i would get 6 different flavored beers, different places... and 4 of each beer. Incase i wanted a 2nd or 3rd or 4th one or wanted to share one.

I registered for it somewhere last year, and forgot bout it. It kept being delivered... after a while i got a garage full of Drafts and Craft beer.

I canceled like end of feb. Cause i heard this corona was all over the place so i didn't want to risk it getting delivered to my door.

Best of it all, i don't drink. I just subscribed because my dad loves craft beers. So over the weekends and rugby etc.. then i like to offer him a craft beer or something new to try out.

What's the point of this post? Basically, you're bragging, but you don't even drink?? So there's nothing in it for you. Not even gloat-worthy. Honestly, I really wonder about people sometimes. Posting pictures of their food, and inane-selfies and humble brags, and just about every other sociopathic behaviour comes to life online. But his is just meh. Best word for it. Just, Meh. Like so what bru?

I didn't think Irony Week could get any better/worse.

Was looking at your recipe where it said stir twice a day and was wondering

Since the sealed bucket I used this time has plenty of expansion space (25ltr bucket with 6ltr brew) I wasn't expecting the balloon to inflate as quick as with the first attempt which had almost zero expansion space.

So far there is only a small sign of the balloon inflating. Was thinking of rather swirling it around daily rather than opening since it is locked up all tight and cozy. I'm hoping the black bucket will be of benefit i.e. no light and keep temp up. Will put in garage tomorrow. Warmest place around the house

exactly
you have 6l brew in a 25l bucket which means 19 litres of air under compression blowing that balloon
im surprised the balloon has actually moved

well done

You didn't correct him when he called it "your" recipe.

Should I be worried if Papa Smurf is giving a bunch of technical advice?
i said right, in the beginning, we are all learning :p
only pro advice i can give is from my own mistakes when making Coopers beers since 2000
but this pineapple stuff is all new to most of us, i once did it in 1989 high school

I wasn't worried about the advice you seem to know your stuff. Its just out of character in this thread so was wondering if you were feeling OK... Do you smell toast by any chance? :)
