Mostly agree with both posts, but IMO the bigger picture first needs further examining.

If missed, here's one of the most important articles I've read (don't know if they're Dem or Rep based, don't care).

No ****...

For those who need reminding of how "civilised" political bodies can criminally behave - see the new based-on-fact Iraq war exposure movie "Official Secrets" on DStv's Box Office or find it online.

Just seen it, a brilliant major eye opener for me, particularly regarding 'Murica and the "tame" U.K.!!

Sound like a couple of get togethers are happening in our estate tonight. Think a good number of people are easing out of lockdown.

Honestly the roads yesterday would've been like a normal public holiday, today it's basically another Saturday, heard cars going passed way passed curfew.
The lockdown is over in a lot of people's minds anyways.

This is social experiment forced on us by the government.
They are testing the limits.
If it means I never have to leave my house then so be it, lmao this probably sounds sad af.

If people followed the social distancing guidelines then the gvt regulations wouldn't need to be so strict but if you go to pick n pay people can't even stand 2m apart unless someone sticks red tape on the floor saying "STAND HERE". If we behave like children then we'll be treated like children.
While I see your point and agree about the fact that a certain portion of the population in SA has no concept of personal space - (they have no concept of much other than eat, fornicate and beg) ... you do realise that SA probably has the harshest restrictions in the world, and it is intended more for you than those "children".

No other country has restricted the sales of alcohol and tobacco, and is under martial control?

I agree. I only go out once a week and on Saturday, for the first time I couldn't find a parking spot at my local shopping centre.

84% of South Africans agree with lockdown - survey (IPSOS)

What a bunch of cow dung...

Feel free to give the video a thumbs down on Youtube

What a load of cr@p , and also noticed the comments are conveniently turned off on Youtube.

I was in favour of lockdown until it went all primary school principal on us.

Now, ****em. I will make my own decisions about what risky behavior I choose to indulge in.

Very much so...

Problem is some of the risky behaviour I want to indulge in involves me having to try find black market dealers for the product, and in many ways that goes against the grain for me.... but this is what they're pushing law abiding citizens (by and large) to do.

Must admit I skimmed through his letter to us because I'm tired of being soft-soaped.

There's a whole new thread discussing this one letter: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/thr...t-ministers-doing-whatever-they-want.1082412/
