Lockdown is losing the support of South Africans

I was going to post something like this earlier. The last few decades have seen declines in religious attitudes, with little blame culture. Now that a crisis has come along, all that pent up zealotry is being poured out at perceived culprits. This is a kind of displacement activity for venting anger, instead of the virus which is an inanimate cause.

A reading of history will show many previous examples. Whenever societies face danger, scapegoats are sought.
It also seems to me that we’ve been primed for this massive and largely irrational fear of the (very survivable) virus by the media, who have for years been telling us how vulnerable we are and instilling a narrative of the fragility of human beings - as opposed to one of fortitude and resilience. Every adverse life event is now seen as a psychological trauma and threat to our mental health.
The irony is that as a result of this culture of fear, society has inflicted a situation on itself that truly is profoundly psychologically damaging. No matter how robust your mental health is, the prolonged uncertainty of this unnatural and oppressive way of living is going to take a huge toll. To say nothing of the other terrible consequences, eg. poverty and physical suffering.

What is our later decided Aug. / Sept. "peak" based on??

We're only a couple of weeks behind the bulk of the main world events (who are at the end of this), went into LD early, and have a very low mortality rate to date.
It certainly can't be based on winter, that was thrown out by experts as a possible factor months ago.

The only thing they can claim (the WHO etc.) is that it "spreads slower" here. Based on what certain evidence? BS!

Word is that townships are functioning and busy as if there is no lockdown? Anyone able to confirm? This being the case, we might as well declare level 1.
From the pictures and some posts i've seen. It see crowded places... <be sure to watch out.. as a virus explosion is about to happen> and CPT is already looking pretty bad and well infected.

Sad he and other people who buy into this sjw crapola get so much attention. At least Cliff tore him a new one. Smug drol doesn't know he lost the argument, but we all know :)

Makes no sense. Who in the impoverished sector wants the lockdown to continue? Their situation forces them to continue despite breaking lockdown protocols - the only difference now being that life is harder. That scale obviously applies for everyone and is largely defined by wealth.

This guy claims to speak on behalf of the poor and downtrodden simply to scold Cliff about his "privilege" and remind him of his skin colour. Cliff wants to end lockdown while this guy doesn't. Why not? Snowflake must take the opposing view to the oppressive straight white man in order to spew his baseless accusations or else they would be agreeing with each other.

7:27 : "what do you think is going to happen if people are allowed to carry on with their lives?"

The lockdown doesn't exist for them either way as far as the virus goes so that's exactly what they do now. What is he even talking about?

I'm not sure what that debate/interview was supposed to achieve except take yet another dig at capitalists, but why? Did the socialist ask anybody from the working class what they think?
