I am not entirely sold on this being an April Fools joke because 2 independent News sites are carrying the story, but if it does turn out to be an April Fools joke it is in fscking piss poor taste as it is going to get some people arrested at random road blocks by cops who will believe this shyte that they see on the news as if the minister did say it.

I found one dated 25 March saying transportation is permitted.
No. You see this is what your 25th March doc says:

2. Directions 9 is hereby substituted for the following direction: "Transportation of Liquor 9. Transportation of liquor is permitted."

and here in gazette 44120, which is where you find the "Directions" referred to , it says:

Transportation and storage of liquor 9. The transportation of liquor is prohibited, except7 10 No. 44120 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 29 JANUARY 2021 (a) in relation to alcohol required for industries producing hand sanitisers, disinfectants, soap or alcohol for industrial use and household cleaning products; (b) for export purposes; (c) for transportation from manufacturing plants to storage facilities; or (d) for transportation from any licensed premises for safe keeping: Provided that the transporter must, on demand, produce a copy of a valid liquor licence.

In ohter words, the permitting of the transportation of liqour is substituted by the banning of the transportation of liqour.

Easter period means Friday 2 April 2021 from 00h01 until Monday 5 April 2021 at 23h59.

81. (1) For the duration of the Easter period, the sale of liquor -

(a) by a licensed premises for off-site consumption, is prohibited; and
(b) by a licensed premises for on-site consumption is permitted, subject to strict adherence to the curfew contemplated in regulation 68(3).

(2) The consumption of liquor in public places, except in licensed on -site consumption premises, is not permitted.

(3) Any person who fails to comply with, or contravenes a provision of subregulations (1) and (2), commits an offence and is, on conviction liable to a fine or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, or to both such fine and imprisonment.

Nothing about transportation.
