Locked out of recovery email

Just a quick update in case somebody comes across the post with a similar problem.

A) Don't waste time trying to regain access to your Yahoo accounts, it isn't happening. I've read plenty of posts by different people that are in a similar position to me. To date it has been going on for at least a year where people are finding themselves unable to access their Yahoo accounts and no support is given. Your Yahoo account is gone, lost to the digital void. I hope you didn't have anything really important linked to it, that is going to cause you grief to change.

B) Changing your verification details on a Microsoft/Outlook account is easy enough and ran smoothly. Just start the process from your account details and 30 days later the final email will come to your new verification email to finalize. It is advisable to only access your Microsoft account from one device, or if you have multiple make sure that is originating from the same IP address. Don't clear your browser history and don't log out of the Microsoft/Outlook account. You are trying to avoid tripping any security alerts for your account that could get you locked out.

The only thing is that I haven't been able to get Microsoft to accept my phone number for a second verification method  but that is a problem for another day.

Thanks for the update. You can only have one number. So might need to check under Multi Factor Authentication settings if there is not already a number and then remove that.
