It seems that Christmas has come early for King Mswati III's wives.

The eSwatini king has gifted his wives with custom Rolls Royce luxury vehicles worth around R10 million each. A source in eSwatini's information ministry has confirmed the purchase to The Citizen.

Footage of the luxury cars leaving a compound believed to belong to King Mswati has been widely shared on social media.


Independent Media investigative journalist Mzilikazi wa Africa posted a thread on Twitter showing four trucks packed with the new cars.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if some ZA tax money finds its way directly to his coffers, ZA business is certainly helping to fund this guy's lifestyle with 90% of their imports coming from ZA and 70% of their exports going to ZA.

I blame this bs habit of randomly renaming things for no reason whatsoever though, can't keep up and don't care to, for all I know Eswatini could have been a suburb of Bela-Bela, Polokwane or Tshwane. Just call the damn thing Swaziland ffs.
