An older friend is recovering from a serious illness, and was nostalgic about this movie on the weekend. I'd like to get a copy for him.

There is an entry on IMDB.

I've searched for a torrent, but they are all duds.

I've searched the newsgroups and turned up nothing.

I looked at the decent collection at Video Spot in Craighall, but it isn't there.

I searched the US and UK collections of Netflix.

Does anyone have an idea of where look next?

Yeah if it never made it to DVD you're very unlikely to find it online. Wishing your friend a speedy recovery.

You can always get the book We Are Seven by Una Truy the movie was based on...

@Fudzy: It does seem like the prospects are slim for finding it online. But thanks for the good wishes :)

@Ponder: Good idea. Should look into that!

This seems like an awesome challenge. Will look more into it at home.

It can't hurt to contact the Film Archive - was hoping to find a classic movie enthusiast site that just happened to have an avi of the movie.

I actually sent them an email right after posting that ;)

@ponder - Cool, thanks!

Ok, they mailed me back. There is no vhs/dvd/bluray available and the copyright is still active although they don't know who the copyright holder is.

The good news is that they will create a timecoded dvd from the restored film for 45 Euros which is not bad considering the work involved.

I've PM'ed you the details.

Cheers
