Logitech Z906 if you can find a pair

Or Z2300 if you can find them, 2.1 but discontinued!! Widely regarded as the best 2.1 on the market... I have them and they rock!!!

Tell me, can these things be connected to a TV?
I need some sound but don't really like the stuff you can get for around R1000 in the "actual home theatre" department... I'm thinking a R1000 PC Speaker set will outperform a R1000 Home Theatre set....

Am I right? Wrong? Dumb?


I don't need "UBER" sound I just need some bass (not too loud, just need a deep bass at lower volume levels - I have neighbors.)

I use the Logitech Z906's and connect it strait to my HD TV with an optical cable. So i use it for DSTV/PS3/Xbox360/Media player well I basically use it for anything on my TV.

How does a R1000 PC Speaker system compare to a R1000 Samsung/LG/whatever Home Theatre System?
As much as I want to buy a Jama/Marantz combo I'm not sure whether I need it - I the Logitechs/Divoom or whatever work well, I can use it, if not, i'll just move them to my PC and buy a proper home theatre

I basically want the "depth" of deep bass, but not the "volume" as such, if that makes sense?
