Permanent management level position in the Telecommunication sector at Sentech in Johannesburg in South Africa (Gauteng).

Marketing and Sales
This is a senior position that mainly focuses on strategic issues. The successful candidate will therefore report directly to the General Manager: Sales Division.
Candidates with prospects for success should have: * BA or B Com university degree or equivalent * Excellent analytical, critical and strategic skills * Good interpersonal and communications skills * Ambition, be energetic with drive to complete tasks * Ability to undertake business negotiations at highest level.
Candidates should have the following experience: * At least 5 years in marketing and/or sales function specific to channel sales, with a minimum of two years management experience * Vast knowledge and experience of ICT industry specific to telecommunications, ISP, distribution, retail and multimedia services * Experience in managing a dynamic sales team * Experience in sales and marketing with emphasis in the key deliverable areas and disciplines as indicated below * Exposure to communication technologies, with a strong focus on ISP, satellite and broadcast services.
The job outputs include the following: * Formulate and implement high-level strategy for the Sentech Partner Programme * Successful implementation of partnerships/joint ventures from inception to
completion * Co-ordinate and manage internal stakeholders (networks, marketing, multimedia, legal and regulatory, etc) with respect to projects and their deliverables * Formulate and implement business processes, internally and externally to Sentech, pertaining to partners * Promote Sentechs brand name and image in all his/her interactions with corporate executives and represent Sentech in appropriate fora * Prepare a sales plan and strategy for all partners and similar disciplines * Find (local and international) partners, qualify, appoint, set targets, negotiate contracts, support structure establishment and manage partners * Recommend approval of partners by taking credit, size, capability, territory, viability and due diligence into account * Approve, implement and manage
commission system for partners * Establish a communications and feedback loop strategy with partners * Define products to be sold by partners in conjunction with Product Marketing * Introduce a billing and payment mechanism for partners * Achieve targets set with partners * Report on profitability and success of partner operations * Territory analysis * Partner and customer satisfaction analysis * Pipeline management * Manage an effective channel force * Performance manage channel managers against revenue targets and partner satisfaction.

Remember, at Sucktech it's Marketing's job to make the service work ... They must have read an article somewhere that says "Marketing is the new Technical" or something.
