do you have a Kidney to sell?
aren't air suspensions crazy expensive, that's why most people remove them and go for coils?

hence my question, isn't it cheaper to just go buy a coil set instead of trying to fix the crazy expensive air suspension?
I mean most do this, why cant your buddy do that?

This is why expensive cars like this go for cheap once their maintenance plans expire. Sure, you could win and not need something like this for years. Or, you could lose and get this, shortly before a clutch goes and takes a gearbox with it. Or the wires start decomposing or something.

especially a prestige car like a Merc,

best solution in my mind, spend the cash converting it to coils and not mess around with the air suspension that is pricey and expensive for no good reason,
other than only Mercedes makes it, and can charge whatever they like to fix/calibrate/troubleshoot it.

or do what I'd do, start scouring junkyards, and try to make a deal, even overseas if necessary.
but then again, Id never buy a Gas guzzling SUV yet alone a Merc in a Million years.

Anyone ever get someone completely agreeing to their posts and it made them rethink their entire opinion on something?

You don't have an opinion.

You drive an effed up Picanto and love the Brio.

Redoing the air suspension as a traditional shock & spring suspension is a ridiculous idea. The can of worms you open will probably make the vehicle not worth repairing.
