Trying some new stuff.
Juuni Taisen = interesting but slow.
Mahoutsukai no Yome = interesting.
houseki no kuni = plain weird.
inuyashiki = getting interesting.
Omiai Aite wa = WTF. Somehow missed the ecchi/porn part of that. Not my thing.

Yesterday evening, Hiromi Tsuru was discovered unconscious in a car on along the Shuto Expressway in Tokyo. The vehicle was stopped, the hazard lights were on, and Tsuru was still wearing her seatbelt.

According to Asahi News, the famed voice actress was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Tsuru was only 57 years old.

Tsuru voiced some of anime’s most beloved characters, including Bulma in the Dragon Ball series, Dokin-chan in Anpanman, Ukyo Kuonji in Ranma ½, Reiko Mikami in Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Meryl Strife in Trigun, among many others. She also voiced video game characters, including Naomi Hunter in the Metal Gear Solid series.

Voiced Bulma for over 30 years.

Batman Ninja (2018) Anime Movie

This looks glorious.

"Director Jumpei Mizusaki has described Batman Ninja as a film meant to show the world how Japan sees Batman and not one about how Batman (and Bruce Wayne) see Japan. Judging by the trailer, Japan sees a badass side of Batman that’s like nothing we’ve ever seen before."

What do you think?

Think this will fight off the anime to live-action Hollywood adaption curse? Definitely looks interesting (to me, anyway).

Any word on Black Clover?

Started watching it and ... it's okay. Art isn't great and the story is a cliche, but like those old 80s kung fu movies if you can switch your brain off you can enjoy some mindless entertainment.

Also started watching this, however, and it's FANTASTIC. Beautiful art with one of the most stunning opening sequences I've ever seen and a deep, thoughtful narrative that really delve into various aspects of society and development, while still keeping it light and entertaining. A must-watch in my opinion.

Just watched Kimi no Na wa. And I highly recommend it. May appear to be cliché at first, but I was truly impressed with how well it was executed. Great characters, amazing sound track and of course, gorgeous animation. Great rewatching value for me

One of my favourite animes. Watched it when I just got into anime. But watch out for burnout - it's LONG. What worked for me was watching it in arcs. Complete an arc and take a break, watch something else, then come back.
Interesting, that explains why I had such a hard time getting into one piece. Never really considered burnout

What's everyone's must watch anime's from 2017? Since it's the holidays, I'm trying to catch up & binge watch as much as I can.

Finished Inuyashiki. It was good, but not memorable. I don't see myself going back to this show unless its to check out the animation style which was outstanding. Back to watching the next arc of Fairy Tail.

Any of you weebs interested in streaming live Japanese TV check out iSakuraTV. You can stream dozens of Japanese TV channels live, and can watch all the shows on any channel from the past week on demand.

Been testing it out for the past few days and yep, nice, video quality is great too.

I see my Netflix consumption taking a nose-dive from now on.
