Not all of us know. I didn't always know about crunchyroll and iirc it was chevrons posting that alerted me to it. As for the article I believe it's worth posting. Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe I just haven't been as sensitive to his posting as everyone else but it hadn't appeared to be excessive to me at least.

Of course Crunchyroll [only] best streams on WA :D

For the whole streaming debate, my only gripe with CR is that the translation is heavily localized. This is fine for your typical shounen anime a la naruto most of the time, but the extreme localization means that the anime with more nuance and finesse in its language becomes heavily degraded and you miss out on key sentences or subtleties which may become important for the story line. Personal gripe for me is that they often leave out small things like honorifics.

Yup. That's the reason I don't watch from the streaming sites and don't watch the groups that release Funi or Crunchy scripts either. Original translations are best. Hatsu, UTW, Hiryuu, UW... Love their work.

But why? What is your motive to come to this thread and talk about nothing but streaming services? Are you paid or is it some form of autism?

Dude it's an interesting article. Is your conscience eating at you?

Dunno about payment methods for a free trial.
Anyways CR was great, best 1080p experience to date. (ignore the chatter over the vid)

I don't see how you can say CR has the best 1080p release, all their releases come from the broadcasting companies in Japan and currently the broadcast digital resolution is 720p last I checked. I am confident that you are watching 720p up scales .

There is nothing negative in trying to be legal, but the quality of the translations from the majority of the simulcast companies is just appalling.

Anyway just marathon through Aldnoah.Zero. Damn, Urobutcher sure knows how to put it together, and Sawano Hiroyuki gives another A+ for music. Apparently last 3 minutes of ep12 wasn't done by Urobuchi, but regardless, season 2 is going to be difficult to fly with the two biggest MC's left like that.

Would to know why someone would want to watch anime in 1080p. It's just a waste of bandwidth. Even hough my line is capable I always watch at 720p.

I love my anime in 1080p and 720p...got a 32" LED screen and 720/1080p looks amazing on it!!

I am actually thinking of using Crunchyroll now to stream my anime. I have all this anime, but it is taking up a lot of space and time. My only problem with streaming is that I will need to have a lot of bandwidth to stream....My home ADSL connection (in EL) is 2Mbps which should do 480p / 720p just fine?? Then at res, the wi-fi is really bad, like you will be super lucky if you get 50Kb/s.

Crunchyroll and Netflix are two that I want to be using, but its just sad I got bad internet :(

Anyone been watching Terra Formars?? The second episode really was off the hook...I really wish they did not apply censoring to the episode...I would love to have seen it uncensored....I hope an uncensored version will be out. Speaking of uncensored, will an uncensored version of Tokyo Ghoul be made??

Anime I am waiting for is Sidonia no Kishi Season 2 (aparently November is when it comes back), Psycho-Pass season 2, I am hoping a Tokyo Ghoul season 2 will be made (heard it delisted).

Sidonia won't be airing in November, that is right in the middle of the Autumn season. What they will be doing is a 2 episode PV in November, the rest of the episodes will be some time later.

For anything uncensored, pray for bluray releases.
