Yeah that was to point out that Funimation stuff is not for South Africans.

Daisuki is nicer IMO. Their site is less cluttered and ads are less obtrusive, for non premium users.

But hey I mean it's only irrational to remind people that two sites exist for legit streaming. Why would anybody want more choice..... ???

Hey guys, I have just started an anime review site for the south african community. I just started it so its still a baby. you can visit it at www.tsuki-anime.com and perhaps offer suggestions to improve it for the south african anime community at large. Seeing as that anime websites are lacking over here. Im hoping that eventually it would eventually be a proper online anime community. But im taking it slowly at the moment.

Oddly, I've never been a big fan of anime. I'm lost in translation whenever I try to watch it. The humor, drama, action, conflict and romance in anime are of a completely different culture to me. Was wondering if anyone know of a good anime film or something I should watch?

Well I haven't checked recently, Funimation and Crunchyroll translation is known to be atrocious for anything more complicated than your average shounen anime and Funi has localization that is overkill.

All you guys with a dirty sense of humour might want to check out Prison School. It's definitely an ecchi anime so expect a lot of fanservice, but said fanservice fits in with the overall tone of the anime. It could end up being the comedy anime of the season.

Check Daisuki then, it's a Japanese site run by some of the actual copyright holders.

I pointed out those two sites because that's what we legally can watch, unless you import DVD/BDs yourself. Fansubs are in the grey area. :)

I dunno about the translations but I found you can follow what's going on, even for more complicated anime, such as Steins;Gate.

ep 1 was reasonable funny, ep 2 was just same-same. Thought it could have been a little less censored it made me think of Terra Formars and its over use of censorship.

There is also Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou. The only other anime I previewed was Hozuki no Reitetsu and found ep 1 rather boring. Maybe second ep is better... who knows.

Censored? Meh. Guess I will wait for the fully uncensored BD version.

It's not that bad. Some steam and light beams just hiding nipples and panties, it doesn't take away from the comedy, which is the point of the anime. Even with that there is a lot of fanservice. It's not nearly as bad as Terra Formars and Tokyo Ghoul, where the censoring was so over-done you couldn't even tell what was going on at times.
