Hiya all,

A while back (ages ago!) I bookmarked a URL that listed expired .co.za domains. I thought this was on www.co.za, but just went there and cant find anything like this. Anyone know where this list is, or how to obtain a list like this?

Cheers
CF ;)

don't think there is something like that (there used to be something on co.za a list with domains names about to expire, but they removed that list due to abuse)

Hope this is not for finding domains to "domain squat" and demand a ransom!

Ok, thanks for the info. No...not gonna squat. Got a website I want to create...but want a domain that's been around for a while. Google now takes domain age into account with rankings....so why start from new then? ;)

Well I'm a victim of a squatter (my hosting provider never renewed the domain and I never got my notifications). I hate squatters. Let me give SquatZille a call

What kind of domain name are you looking for? You might find someone interested in selling theirs ;-)

Well I used the wildcard search option, but it only shows 5 results. Also...not that desperate to find a specific one...was gonna look at the list...see if there was one I like and register it for myself. Contact www.co.za, but the reply was how to use whois (which I know, and that wasnt my question)....so replied and explained what I want...am waiting for a reply now.

So frickin irritating...mission to get the info!

the whois only gives you currently registered domains (not expired domains) plus if you do to many lookups they block access for a while

I would like to know... :)

Dude you like necromanced a five year old thread :D

I don't know of a service that lets you know which local domains are about to drop (or has recently dropped), but I use sites like etc.co.za to find previously registered domains. But you must search smart. Like after Gavin Durni passed away, the majority of his domains dropped so I used that service (or rather rummaged through the Google index containing links to that service) to pick up some of his previously owned domains, but I was a bit late to the game as the majority was snapped up already.

Now etc.co.za is owned by "BooBop Media" which is a Domains.co.za proxy so I don't want to give them too much publicity because they have given me atrocious service in the past.

Why are you looking for expired domains if I may ask?

Vot? Are you parking them? Or printing it out on paper and hanging it on your wall? Or collecting them like stamps? Which niche's (outside of pharmaceutical advice for muscle building and game consoles) do you operate in?

I hoard domains.

But I'm not a sketchy person if I have a domain some needs then I'll usually let it go for not a ridiculous amount ( business is still business)

If it's a Domain someone wants then I set a price.

Most of my domains I just brush up on my website skills as I'd like to move onto that space sometime. I enjoy building websites

A nice domain I picked up during the whole drone scene was justdrones.co.za

But ag I never got to market the domain. However lately I got a new interest in this, just sad I'm 20 years to late.

I picked up propertybonds.co.za yesterday but not too sure what I want to do yet.

Also have realestateloans.co.za laming around but don't have an plan Yet.
