Looking to flash my SGS+ with Broodrom help needed

Hi

I want to flash my Galaxy S+ with broodrom and was hoping someone could help me

How do you backup the South African CSC? Alternatively where can i download this?

Anything very important that I need to know before doing this?

You rooted? If yes install Clockworkmod recovery,backup and flash as you like

I was hoping to do it without rooting. I haven't rooted or used CWM before.

Well you can check www.samfirmware.com to download a copy of your current firmware,then reflash the phone using Odin and a compatible Odin rom img,but I prefer CWM for peace of mind. Odin can be fairly destructive if you don't do it right.

As an extra note it's quite difficult to TOTALLY brick the phone,there are many ways to save it in case of disaster hehe

Do most rom's overwrite the CSC or do they leave it as is?
