Some helpfull tips for beginners!

Hi All

Some of you might feel that you do not know the game and feel threatened by the competition, well I will give some of my experience on Clanwars and Tournament over to you fellow competitors. I would like nothing more than to see a healthy NAG BFME2 LAN!

There are a few critical steps:

Step 1: Correct build order for your faction (Look at replays of the good players), this will make or break your game! ( www.gamereplays.org/bfme2 )

Step 2: in 1.04 Rush or Die! You must have the art of rushing under foot otherwise you will not succeed! (But this could change by the time 1.05 is out, 1.05 will actually make camping a viable strategy!)

Step 3: Clumping: This made a huge difference to my game, being able to take out buildings and Forts in a few hits is critical. Clumping is the way you order your troops to attack a building! Give a move order to behind a building, as soon as they approach the building they will clump together, press stop (S) then switch to attack stance (D), and look at your men hit a building in two or three shots! It GONE!

Step 4: Continually expand; if you stagnate you will be left behind!

Step 5: In 2vs2 playing together will just make life allot easier, you cant win a 2vs2 by playing 1 on 1!

Hope these tips helps the new or inexperienced players, and ask for advise most of the good players they give it freely and do not have a problem with helping others (Those who give will always receive more!)

Hi All

Some exciting news, EA will release the BFME2 1.05 patch tomorrow.

This is in many ways a game changing patch. This will actually level the playing field allot for Rage 2006, because many if not all the old strategies will not apply anymore!

There is massive changes to this game, the change log is 26 pages long.

I will attach the change log for your interest:

Sry, this site does not allow me to paste the full changelog! Please go to http://www.nag.co.za/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?57562.last

Yeah I know I do not get many reply's but I have recieved quite a few e-mails and officially have 26 confirmed competitors. Last year I only had 12 confirmed but at the event we filled 40 spots.

People do not want to commit until the event I think they always feel that they might miss out on something bigger, but then they realise that this is one of the better organised events and they join.

I have met about 12 SA members online so there are a few, look for [DT]Nictron or [DT]Carcinogen in the clan lobbies and Max1179, Burnout, Sync,BelTricia and Dragonjer in the other lobbies, they play quite allot. just ask for South Africans in lobbies, you might have a reply.

You can also register at Teamspeak.co.za and go to the RSA lobby on that server, most of the guys in there play BFME2.

At www.gamereplays.org/bfme2 you can go to the RSA clan forums, that clan is dedicated to RSA players.

Hi All

This is just an update and reminder to the following:

1vs1 Competition:

We only have 14 spots left in the 1vs1 competition. So if you would like to make sure that you have a spot please let me know before Friday! I can’t guarantee that you will have a spot unless you have confirmed your place in the competition.

2vs2 Competition:

We only have 8 team spots left in the 2vs2 competition. So if you would like to make sure that you have a spot please let me know before Friday! I can’t guarantee that you will have a spot unless you have confirmed your place in the competition.

For now the confirmed prizes stand but from communications with different parties, I can tell you that the prize pool will be broadened by the time the competition starts; I am just waiting for final written confirmation from them.

Only two more days and we have all out WAR!
