Hey guys

To all those playing Lotro and the new expansion: what do you make of it? I'm thinking of taking the dive but I'm interested in finding out a bit more first. So if anyone could provide some info on the gameplay, raiding, player versus player, etc ... it would be a great help. Also, what kind of latency do you get from SA?

have not really tried the raiding and did a little player vs player. The game runs well as if its running of an Sa server so no perceived latency, everything i do is pretty instant. I like it. What specifics about gameplay do you wanna know about? I cant compare to wow since i have never played wow

cant complain about the combat system. You can purchase a home, special costume outfits. You can take up a hobby and it seems fishing is the only hobby, never really bothered with this. Upgradable weapons, professions. Can play as a monster in player vs player. Some quests do seem pretty hard almost impossible and they take hours, guess maybe thats my only gripe

if i want to start or try out lotoro what do i need exactly ?

the easiest is buy moria and then download the 500 meg patch for moria (there are two of them only need to download the smaller one) .... and they recently brought on book 7, which you can only download from the launcher, thats 650meg

so its lotoro + moria + patch then ?
