Losing connection every 10mins WTF :(

I have a DSL-504T router. My connection is awsome (after waiting for ages for telkem to get their act together) however when I connect to an outside app like msn, warcraft 3 or guild wars my connection seems to go bang after about 10 mins.

I have the latest firmware and am pretty sure that my settings are correct on my router.

I was thinking of putting in a network card as I am using an onboard card. Will test friends hub too. Anyone have any idea what could be causing it.

This is really annoying to finally get adsl and to not be able to play a full game of dota. Please help if you have any ideas as to why it is dropping all the time thx.

Is it your connection? when it happens restart windows, and see if you are still connected. Because this happened to quite a few people I know. They formatted - reinstalled, and all is well.. They were in the region of 15mins.

yeah, depends what modem you use I think, but I know mine does not disconnect if I restart, so its a good start, to see if you are getting disconnected, or if there is a prob with your OS (no idea what causes it). Good luck though

mine works fine, check the log on the router, under status and log on the left hand side.. check and see if it disconnects often in there.(hopefully you set the time)

wen i 1st got the modem im using now, it used to disconnect because the PPP idle disconnect wasnt setup properly. The filter was set to ignore all data so after 15mins the timer would think the connection was idle and disconnect.. only a reboot would get my connection back

Good way to check if this is happening is to check if ur sessions each last the same amount of time
